Our Vision

Through the advocacy of TALAS all Latino leaders and learners have an equitable and excellent opportunity for growth and advancement.

Our Mission

TALAS El Paso is a unique organization that aims to have a strategic focus to encourage educators and those interested in education to continue their learning in all capacities.

​

TALAS El Paso strives to support and encourage other entities, by challenging learning behaviors within the work environment. TALAS El Paso values all educators to take their learning into their own hands through goal setting and professional development, also while maintaining an appropriate balance of academic, physical, and social endeavors.

 

Finally our purpose of organization is to provide mentorship for our stakeholders so they can learn to think and solve problems and make decisions in a rapidly changing world, develop personal responsibility, leadership, and self-disciple and develop the ability to work cooperatively with others regardless of differences.

Our Pillars

ADVOCACY

We focus on community advocacy and we are committed to expanding educational equity and opportunity for all learners in El Paso del Norte.

MENTORSHIP

We value diverse representation in higher education leadership to build an inclusive mentorship practices, in order to equip and support administrators of diverse backgrounds in El Paso del Norte.

POLITICAL INFLUENCES

We strive to gain sociopolitical context, at the school level, where policies and practices, such as curriculum, teaching, parent outreach, discipline, and hiring of staff, among others comes first in El Paso del Norte.

SCHOLARSHIPS

We seek to provide and relieve financial pressure off of students and families. Through scholarship opportunities, we can help deserving students who want to graduate with their degree and give back to society.
